Who processes your information?
Made of Music Limited is the data controller of the personal information you provide to us. This means the school determines the purposes for which, and the manner in which, any personal data relating to pupils and their families is processed. Mary Power (Director) acts as the school’s representative regarding data protection responsibilities. She can be contacted at madeofmusicschool@gmail.com. Her role is to oversee and monitor the school’s data protection procedures and ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Why do we collect and use your information?


The personal data of pupils and their families is collected and used for the following purposes:

  • To support pupil learning

  • To monitor and report on pupil progress

  • To provide appropriate pastoral care

  • To assess the quality of our service

  • To comply with legal obligations regarding data sharing

  • To safeguard pupils

Which data is collected?
The categories of pupil information that Made of Music Limited collects and holds include:

  • Personal information such as names, dates of birth, mobile numbers, email addresses, and home addresses

  • Attendance information including absences and reasons for absence

  • Assessment information such as exam results

  • Relevant medical information

CCTV Data
Made of Music Limited operates CCTV cameras in the waiting area and all teaching rooms for the purposes of safeguarding, security, and the legitimate interests of the School under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. These cameras record video images only; audio is not captured. CCTV footage will not be used for lesson observation, staff appraisal, or student assessment. All recordings are stored securely and retained only for the minimum period necessary, currently set at [insert retention period], unless required for the investigation of complaints, safeguarding concerns, or legal proceedings. Access to CCTV footage is strictly limited to the Designated Liaison Person (DLP) and authorised senior management. In cases of safeguarding concerns, footage may be shared with Tusla, An Garda Síochána, or other statutory agencies as required by law. Individuals have the right to request access to any personal data contained in CCTV footage that identifies them, subject to the rights and freedoms of others and any applicable legal exemptions.

How long is your data stored for?
In compliance with GDPR, Made of Music Limited does not store personal data indefinitely. Data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected.

Will my information be shared?
Made of Music Limited will not share your personal information with any third parties unless permitted or required by law.
